(8,203 posts)distraction - it doesn't matter what the distraction is....
and you have "it's not normal" on your comment..you are correct!

(60,014 posts)So though I agree it is a shiny object, this is the type of headline we haven't been seeing nearly enough of.

(19,564 posts)Lots fell for that distraction, but it's since been overshadowed, again, by Spicer spewing more Trump lies again.
Pointing out Trump is a lair, and possibly mentally unstable, helps us on several levels.

(15,411 posts)The crowd size was a shiny object. This one causes people to lose faith in the election process making it easier to bypass when he wants to be King.
This country believes the last 4 presidents were illegitimate. That's a problem.

(34,136 posts)A number of studies have found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.
The Truth About Voter Fraud, a report written by experts at The Brennan Center for Justice, found voter fraud rates were between 0.00004% and 0.0009%.
"Given this tiny incident rate for voter impersonation fraud, it is more likely, the report noted, that an American will be struck by lightning than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls," reads the report.

(32,080 posts)They finally got the message. Better late than never. I think it's starting to turn for other outlets, too. CBS exposed the fake cheering at the CIA dog-and-pony show. Various individuals on NBC, such as Schmuck Todd have been making attempts at calling out their lies. Not exactly the worm turning, but it is stirring.

(17,003 posts)This is something his voters can understand. If Twitler thought there were illegal votes why did he shut down the recounts? Pushed hard enough and his voters may demand a recount. Plus, the more light on voting the better. We know what it will show. I believe he has opened a can of worms he is going to wish he had left the hell alone.

(15,285 posts)It's all they've been talking about for at least 2 hours. They're using the word "lie" repeatedly. I guess when you diss a big news organization like CNN and your approval rating is 32%, you're not going to get any respect.
This is only Day 4. Spicer's scold, then presser yesterday, then today saying Trump "believes what he believes" AFTER Trump went on about the "illegal votes" in the meeting with Congressional leaders (they seemed stunned). The stories in WaPo and NYT about Trump's obsession with TV and short attention span. This is all painting a disturbing picture of a mentally unstable president in the WH.
