Chuck Schumer is making a big tactical mistake with this infrastructure plan he proposed.

There is no way Democrats will ever get ANY credit for anything that happens that's good for America while Trump is President and the GOP is in charge of both Houses of Congress.

If it passes then Trump says "see only I alone could get them to work together! Washington fixed! Swamp drained! I made America great again! All me me me."
and all credit for the jobs and roads fixes WILL go to Trump.
There is no way America understands the nuance here.
If it fails to pass/move forward they just blame tax and spend Democrats again, "There they go again."

Elected Democrats should just obstruct EVERYTHING.
POINT OUT what the GOP and Trump policies and laws are doing that hurts Americans DAILY.
Shout that from the rooftops and every TV news show.
That's IT!

Do NOT help Trump by pointing out the right thing to do.
Let the GOP and Trump pass every bad bill/law after another that hurts average Americans when you can't stop it procedural.
GOP Senators had the balls to put stops on everything they could for the last 8 years.

I hope Democrats realize that's their only action here.
They need to let America get what part of it voted for.

Do not help Trump do the right thing.
It's the wrong thing to do.

we might as well plan for 2024 instead of 2020 if we're going to help Trump win.

You are so right. I have thought long and hard about whether Dems should work with him on some things. At first I thought it might be a good idea. Not anymore. What I've seen from the clowns he has assembled for his cabinet leaves me no doubt that cooperating with these people on anything will only lead to more destruction to the Dems down the road. You can't believe a word he or anyone on his team says and the spin machine they have working for them will lie and mislead on anything that does or doesn't get done. So, what's the point? A strong and stiff resistance is the only thing we have left.

THE FOOLS IN TOWN ARE ON OUR SIDE by Ross Thomas
When the whole country turns into Kansas people will beg Democrats to fix it.
We are not in charge now.
It's all on the GOP, don't share the blame with them.

I don't want to wait 4 or 8 years for things to improve just so our side can win.

Besides driving a wedge between the GOP and Trump over populist issues is a great idea.

Democrats have laid down their requirements. Isn't that what we want them to do?

Trump's plan will be a big giveaway to corporations. Now we, and the media, have a comparison.
