FDR: Remarks to the DAR, 21 April 1938

... I thought of preaching on a text, but I shall not. I shall only give you the text and I shall not preach on it. I think I can afford to give you the text because it so happens, through no fault of my own, that I am descended from a number of people who came over in the Mayflower ...

in and about the time of Joe McCarthy and his Commie hunts also. Remember,in the same time frame,there was the so called Mexican Round-up and deportations.

This bunch of backassward twits in the White House think those were the best years of the USA. Not!!!!!

was mailed today. So this statement from FDR about being descended from immigrants and revolutionists is especially meaningful to me today. And yes, I'm proud to say that I participated in the Women's March Saturday!!!
