Stop saying "good Germans". That phrase has been replaced.

I will keep on repeating this: in the face of fascism, Republicans are Quislings. They will not resist fascism; they will goose step behind Trump because he has an R behind his name now.

Never let a Republican say "country first" -- remind them that when a tyrant took over their party with lies and deception, they all fell in line. When he exposed himself as a true tyrant, they politely applauded his attacks on American liberty.

Never use the figure of speech "good Germans" again. Germans don't tolerate this evil any more. The phrase is now "loyal Republicans" to describe those who are silent when the scapegoats are targeted and rounded up.

I was at lunch in Zürich on Friday with three colleagues, one a local Swiss, one from Italy and one from Poland. All three of them were taunting me with "America First!" We're friends, so it wasn't meant in a nasty manner, but it was evident that all three of them thought the USA had gone stark raving mad putting such a dangerous embarrassment in the Oval Office.

For the moment, Switzerland, Poland and Italy don't have a lot to fear from a Trump-led USA; but they know that could change overnight, and there was a slight edge of tension in their friendly ribbing.

He is now a legal resident, has a good job there, and is fluent in German. He is even fast learning the local Züridüütsch.

He is very wary of the current state of the EU, and no longer saw his future there. The only one at the table without a legal residence in Switzerland was me.

I like your suggestion.

We must resist the "loyal Republicans" and the RedHats.

And I will be sharing your thoughts, in a slightly altered form on Facebook.
