there are people who are legitimate threats to this country but he is casting such a wide net it is going to probably going to cause retaliation by the very people he is trying to contain.

She lives here, she works here, she only goes back to visit her family once a year, she's a professor here, her life is here.

Or was here.

The Trump misadministration is a terrorist organization.

because the ramifications of what has happened is more important, but I didn't see anything saying she was an American citizen, but I may have missed it?

She could very well be a permanent resident (aka green card holder), but that is not an American citizen.

I certainly support her plight and hate trump with a passion, but what I know from my work is that the general public knows very little about visas. So, I'm hoping maybe people would try to educate themselves about how expensive, difficult it is to get a visa, and how lengthy the process to become a permanent resident is.

I wasn't trying to be argumentative. I have experience in this sector and just wanted to point out that it may be beneficial if more people understood the different classifications of immigration.

before I took the job I currently have, I knew next to nothing about visas and immigration law, etc. Looking back I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't even try to understand the basics. That's not usually the type of person I am. I believe in self-education and lifelong education.

As an aside, I work at a public university. I don't know what I'll run into tomorrow when I go to work.

If she had not made that trip, she would not have been a danger to the US but is due to the trip? This has nothing to do with terrorism.

and all the others who have lived her for quite a while, been productive and followed our laws and now we have stolen everything from them on the hate of nazi Bannon. Alt=right is just lie, he is a white nationalist nazi and so is his orange assface boss. Hope the judge keeps the stay in place and won't be bullied. This could be interesting.

They probably welcome it as it will save them some false flag operations.

No, this is about eliminating everyone not White, Anglo-Saxon and Christian - and they'd like to eliminate a goodly amount of those as well. You know: the liberal and progressive ones.

The court system is about our only effective weapon for now and that's going to less less available as this administration starts to appoint all the judicial openings that should have been ours long ago.

Donate to the ACLU all you possibly can!

Why did we not see this coming more clearly (and I count myself among the deceived complacent)?

or ordered anyone released. They have merely ordered the deportations stopped.

There have been some releases, but they were not the result of any court order. The DHS is allowed under der Trump's EO to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
