Undocumented workers
Manufactures his stuff in China, vietnam, etc.
Buys furniture etc. form China for his "hotels'

Where was he when this was happening? In the middle of making it happen.

The #1 customers of scrap hardware Chinese businessmen who import the metals to China which is scheaper than mining or creating the metals. A lot of closed down abandoned factories are stripped then sold at the scrap yards.

The Detroit auto industry reached it's peak market share in the early 1950's, and been on a long slow decline since then.

It isn't about bad trade agreements, it is about wage differentials between the US and the third world.
