Maybe others did not....ya know the folks that stayed home or threw a vote to a 3rd party. It was up to ALL SANE PEOPLE to defeat him...so I blame Johnson voters too. I knew this is EXACTLY what he was going to do...especially with Bannon joining.

Political Pundits ignored history. The Presidency doesn't tame the character but amplifies it.. The man said to his voters this is what he was going to do. He's showed he will manipulate ethnic and religious tensions for political gain.

Now Pundits are acting all surprised.

The wink-wink-nudge-nudge anti immigrant, anti gay, anti abortion, pro white Christian thinly veiled hate rhetoric is standard for campaigning GOPers.

But they rarely ever deliver on any of it, and no one expects them to. Not even their freaky voters

LOL this has to have career passive/aggressive GOPer politicians shitting themselves. Trump is destroying anything that was left of the GOP brand

There are still people who think that Republicans are okay and the real threat is liberal policies. It is like a cult. They need to be deprogrammed.

shrub had majorities in both houses for 6 years and ike had it for 2. before that, republicans controlled everything throughout the 20s.

shrub screwed everything up, as did harding/coolidge/hoover. ike was fairly reasonable and only had 2 years of full control.

at least we had/have the filibuster, not that we know how to properly use it....

True. And the more outrageous his policies, the greater the chance many of his followers will shrink back into silence
