(10,173 posts)Political Pundits ignored history. The Presidency doesn't tame the character but amplifies it.. The man said to his voters this is what he was going to do. He's showed he will manipulate ethnic and religious tensions for political gain.
Now Pundits are acting all surprised.

(52,205 posts)shrub had majorities in both houses for 6 years and ike had it for 2. before that, republicans controlled everything throughout the 20s.
shrub screwed everything up, as did harding/coolidge/hoover. ike was fairly reasonable and only had 2 years of full control.
at least we had/have the filibuster, not that we know how to properly use it....
