Last edited Tue Jan 31, 2017, 04:34 PM - Edit history (1)

I did hear a sane and moderate republican on the radio today
Vin Weber of Minnesota on WCCO radio 830 am
however it has been many years since he has been in office
back in the time when it was not so hard to find a sane republican

There's a difference between hating a person, and clearly seeing that their ignorance, greed, and hatred cause suffering and chaos for themselves and others. When you hate, you join the haters' team. True Christians would say, "love the sinner, hate the sin." We Buddhists say, "May all sentient beings be free of suffering and the causes and conditions of suffering."

Ignorance is at the heart of all delusions and suffering. We can cut through the delusion of "us versus them." We are all of us connected, and we have a role to play in creating the causes and conditions for happiness. Whenever possible remember and practice the Golden Rule. If you get the chance, remind Republicans about the Golden Rule too. They need a lot of reminding lol.
