we need to link the entire GOP to this proposal and spread the news BUT only if we can get verification from at least two different sources.

when my son was born and, even then in the 90's, it was still sometimes being used. I absolutely hated it, for obvious reasons. My son was not "illegitimate", he was a child, period. I even had to train some older, extended family members not to use that phrase. Gah.

And here I thought these people were supposed to be so "pro-life"!

It shows that there are some very hateful people out there. When they want to stigmatize innocent children, that is just too far. This is totally unacceptable.

I live in TN and that's the first I've heard of this bill. A google search only turns up that webpage, which isn't a TN media outlet as far as I know, and references to a bill from last year related to Veternary practices.

It's also highly anti-science. Someone should take away their toaster ovens.

http://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/110/Bill/HB1406.pdf

and that is:

Universal Citation: TN Code § 68-3-306 (2014)
A child born to a married woman as a result of artificial insemination, with consent of the married woman's husband, is deemed to be the legitimate child of the husband and wife.

http://law.justia.com/codes/tennessee/2014/title-68/health/chapter-3/part-3/section-68-3-306

Since that has explicit language of 'woman', 'husband' and 'wife', I can't see this is a direct attack on gay parents. Perhaps there has been a ruling that the same thing should apply to gay parents too, and by getting rid of the original idea, they've seen a way of being anti-LGBT.

Age woman around, everywhere she goes, that is the world they seem to want. My guess is the bill in a closet anti-LGBTQ parenting bill that deny parenting to some, regardless of whether the people can be excellent parents or not.
