While on FAKE NEWS @CNN, Bernie Sanders was cut off for using the term fake news to describe the network. They said technical difficulties!

Note: Sanders made a joke about CNN being fake news, then there was a technical problem, then they continued the interview.

To understand a sarcastic remark you have to be able to mentally put yourself in the sarcastic person's place, a skill called "empathy". Also, inability to get sarcasm could be an early warning sign of dementia. So Trump may have two strikes against him in understanding sarcasm.
