the satire is the only accurate portrayal of what's going on. SNL really nailed and simplified it for the masses. All other news present daily bits and pieces and overly long and complex opinion pieces that only political junkies like us read.

That is exactly their strategy....

That they hit us with this never-ending cavalcade of bullshit, and then in 6 months, they back off and the stuff that looked like full scale nut baggery 2 years ago, suddenly seems reasonable to a huge chunk of the electorate.

Then I remember who these knuckleheads are and that fear wanes, but I'll be honest, the thought terrifies me.
