Please keep the pressure up on Trump.
If people continue to RESIST and do so publicly in large numbers, the impact will continue to grow over time. Continuing protests have a cumulative effect, as we learned during the Vietnam War. As the protests continued without stopping, they finally forced two administrations to back down. First, it was Johnson, who was essentially forced not to run again. Then, Nixon, who had other problems that added to the impact of the anti-war protests. Finally, the war was ended. Not soon enough, but finally ended.
Donald Trump began his first term to the sound of people marching in the streets. On the very day after his inauguration, more people took to the streets of Washington, DC that showed up for Trump's big event. Since then, additional protests all across the nation have demonstrated that people are not going to sit at home and allow a Trump administration to ride roughshod over the wishes of the people.
It's important that this pressure continue to be seen on a regular basis, and throughout the country. People are showing up in numbers at Republican legislators' town hall meetings. They are affecting those legislators in ways that are hard to deny.
Keep it up, folks! We'll win if we RESIST!
