A very serious question?

Should Democrats try to help Donald "organize" the government, since it is obvious that the Republican Party is totally ill-equipped to do so?

It is simply very difficult to try to form a government when, at the cornerstone of their political philosophy, they dislike the very idea of "government".

Donald is in way over his head and he needs help. In more ways than one, obviously.

This is our country. Trump and the Republicans are putting our country at risk.

If our country is "at risk", do not we Democrats have a responsibility to help Trump with "organizing" our government?

Whether or not Trump and the Republican Party are so married to corporatism and fascism, that they cannot see the reality they have created and are creating as we speak, is left to be seen.

They don't want bi-partisanship. They want a friggin' king.

final link in the chain between Putin and Dolt45. They should be using all their resources to show what we all know: this president is illegitimate.

We need to get the evidence, get him out, and save American democracy. We don't have time to sweep up his messes in the meantime.

2. No. You have a responsibility to see that he and his gang are arrested and charged.

If you can still seriously talk like this, you haven't yet figured out what's going actually on.

Try reading the two OPs I mention here. Then revisit the idea of helping to "organize the government" in light of their information.

3. Do you assume that Donald CAN be helped, listens to reason, or will accept reasonable help?

Some people simply cannot be helped. You can offer help a thousand times, but if an irrational and erratic person refuses to listen, refuses to acknowledge that others know more, refuses to admit mistakes, and try to learn from them; there's very little that you can do. That's when you have to let them go their own way and deal with the consequences. Some people have to learn everything the hard way.

There were plenty of people of good will around that offered help to Trump during the transition, including Obama. There are still plenty of good patriotic people around, who would willingly help him. But would he listen?

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.

After the crash and burn Democrats will pick-up the pieces, put everything back together and go on.

Suppose he were sane and open to the idea. Then it would make sense to reach across the aisle. But the repukes are not sane, and tRump is the least sane of them all. It would be like trying to work with Manson. You wouldn't try that because he's insane and simply not open to working with anyone.

9. Never cooperate with them.

Any "cooperation" will be simply endorsing a and strengthening them. They need to fail badly and go away forever. Historically, it's pretty much James Buchanan territory with none of Buchanan's brains or experience. His intransigence over slavery broke the country apart. Now, like then we must choose sides. Hopefully, it won't end up in a bloody mess, but this is the last gasp of the Republican brand. They survived Bush with the complicity of the media, but he has already pissed off the whole press. I don't want him dead, I just want to see him led out in a straight jacket taking all his ass kissers with him.

They are going to mess it up (are well on the way already), not just because of ego but also ignorance. This is their guy up there and they are responsible.

The repubs. worked against Obama for 8 years. Obstructing his SC judge nomination was a slap in the face. Dems. cannot turn around now and be helpful. They need to stand up as much as they possibly can as the minority party, but helping them along...no way!

I am putting a lot of faith in the Constitution here, but I think it will hold up!
