US Special Ops chief: US government 'in unbelievable turmoil'
Washington (CNN)The head of US Special Operations Command said Tuesday that the US government is in "unbelievable turmoil," a situation that he suggested could undermine US efforts to fight adversaries such as ISIS.
"Our government continues to be in unbelievable turmoil. I hope they sort it out soon because we're a nation at war," Army Gen. Raymond "Tony" Thomas told a symposium in Maryland.
While it wasn't exactly clear what Thomas was referring to, his remarks come less than 24 hours after retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was forced to step down as national security adviser, becoming by far the shortest tenured adviser in history.

OP
I have no doubt he's right, but that's a pretty stupid thing to say for a man in his position.

Which leads me to believe the situation is even more dire than we think it is. Hard to believe, but it's all I can come to.

Actually, there was a shadow government doing many things without due process way before that but it's quite easy to see that's when everything changed for the most part.

Flynn was reportedly one of the most incompetent- NY Times article recently cited examples of his lack of knowledge of govt functioning. He didn't know how to mobilize National Guard, etc.
Has been reported Trump & Co. requested our military send arms to Saudi Arabia, not realizing that would be against sanctions and needed Congressional approval.
