CBS's Major Garrett: Trump's nominee for Navy Sec, Philip Bilden, will likely withdraw this weekend

News: Am told by two people familiar with the matter that Navy Secretary nominee Philip Bilden is likely to withdraw - cld b this weekend.

Bilden's a financier but also a former military intelligence officer, so he's almost certainly been hearing plenty from contacts in the intel community about Trump.

potential nominees? Any of them who are even halfway sane won't want anything to do with this trainwreck; unfortunately that means the bottom of the barrel will be scraped bare and all the agencies of our government will be run by more guys like Trump: Stupid, uninformed, rich, greedy and corrupt.

Job Description: Monitor internet for tweets which could prove disparaging to your crazy ass boss.

I just hope his job pays overtime, because that would be a 24 hour a day job.

That's been a sticking point with a couple of people so far, and I imagine it will be the same among all current military. While I've often been critical of entrenched Pentagon types, they're earning their paychecks now by standing up to this shit.

about the media....and yet he's also accidentally not far from the truth on that one. It irritates me that he's just so batshit crazy that he's put us in the position of defending a relatively piss-poor fourth estate, which incidentally, got him elected.
