In Truth The GOP, Trump Supporters, Trump Et Al Want All Black/Brown People & Dems To Leave US.

Trumpers really only want a white Christian country they way they act if anyone criticizes them. The nation is more divisive than it has been since the Civil War. I could be imagining things but the hatred and viciousness is palpable. I see no path to reconciliation with any of them.

It just feels like the country incoming apart in so many ways.

In their mind, they won so they get to make all the rules and the rest of us are supposed to let them run rough shod over the rights of anyone who disagrees with them.

Resist and persist.

They would love to see us all leave. Same as they would love California to secede. They argue that Cali would be a slave to the US because of their need for water. The sooner we wake up and realize that the Repugs and especially their twisted religious constituents do not care about us the better. They do not see an inclusive America that does not follow their cult doctrine. If you don't believe as they do, they do not want you here. I just hope that the zealots do not succeed in pushing their religious beliefs into law.

Where you live has a lot to do with racial and ethnic tolerance or bigotry. If you live on either the west or east coast, then you probably live and work with people of different ethnicities. And your kids go to school and are friends with kids of different ethnicities. You will also know people of mixed races and cultures. For example, before I retired, I lived and worked in Calif. My boss was Vietnamese, her boss was Chinese, her boss was Hindi, his boss was Italian-American, his boss was Dutch, and the CEO was from the mid-west. On the block where I lived, my neighbors were Pakistanis on one side, and Chinese on the other side. Down the block were African-Americans and Pacific Islanders, and Swedes. When you live in such a society, you don't give it a 2nd thought about someone's skin color. You just deal with them as regular people.

When I retired, I moved to a little east Texas town. Everyone goes to the 1st Baptist church, except me. Although there are African American neighborhoods, you won't see very many AAs working in the local stores, the police, fire dept, or county court house here. The "other" is very scarey to the white people here. We have an integrated schools, but you won't see parents inviting ALL a kid's classmates over for a slumber party. Not much socializing between the races. Even the churches are mostly segregated.

My local county Dem club is very integrated and we work together. We have white, black, and Hispanics. The local Rep club is very white, as you might imagine. You will find this type of segregation and bigotry throughout the rural parts of the heartland. Most white people here in east Texas have never been anywhere else. Never lived in a different culture. Never been exposed to different ways of thinking and being. And of course, our corrupt Texas GOP politicians keep fanning the flames of fear of the "other." Telling ignorant white people that white Christian culture is the best, the most worthwhile, the most virtuous, the most truly American.

I'm an old white lady, who was blessed to get a good college education, have lived with other cultures, and am a Buddhist. I used to get quite angry at the racial stupidity, but now I just find it tiresome.

Hillary won our county. Jeffco is not hugely diverse. Denver County is very diverse. State is purple for the most part. We have our share of Trumpers.

The reboolicons have now completed the Fascist pivot. The older rebooblicans don't
understand what that means. They will find out once everything regarding our freedoms
are attacked. It's very classic, read up on hitler and what started in the beginning and
see what parallels are, it's veery scary.

The majority of Democrats don't realize how serious this is. We are in a war and Dems
just think it's about a few issues, very big mistake.

rebooblicons need to be stopped, in anyway possible and I mean in ANY way.

It's a curious American Fascism. Historically Fascism has been the merging of monopolistic capitalism and militarism. Hitler and the Nazis were not Christians. They just barely tolerated the catholic and protestant German churches. But here in the US, a certain strain of fundamentalist prosperity Christianity, known as Dominionist has joined with the GOP.
