What I WANT out of the new direction of the Democratic Party post DNC chair election

1. There won't be a new platform until after the next primary

The DNC Chair is an organizational position. The chair oversees the creation of the platform, but its content will be influenced by the next presidential primary. The chair doesn't determine what the party stands for. People vested a lot in this fight over the chair with little understanding of what the position actually entails.

3. The chair pushes our agenda out .. and how to get our people elected is his job

My point is.. this is who we are..

5. He allocates resources

whatever resources the DNC has, and speaks for the party on television. I'm hoping Ellison helps out a lot with that second one.

6. Ellison is a party Democrat and I have full faith in him and Perez getting it done

2. Plus is someone does not like the platform, they can get involved personally and maybe change it.

This cannot be a spectator sport any longer.
