with all the talk of needing new faces for the party. this would be a good place to start. and this is also the district that was Newt Gingrich's. from what i have been reading it would be best for Democrats to try to get the 50 percent in the first round because with so many republicans running many republicans may be likely to sit out the race. but in a runoff they could unite just to vote against the democrat.

<The poll by zpolitics and Clout Research shows local film executive and Democrat Jon Ossoff leads the 18-person field with 32 percent. He currently has endorsements from both Reps. John Lewis and Hank Johnson.
Republican Karen Handel, the former Georgia Secretary of State, comes in second with 25 percent, but that's still within the roughly seven-point margin of error for the poll.
As of Feb. 21, 18 percent are undecided who they'll vote for.>

Here are the district's demographics: http://places.findthehome.com/l/1504497/Congressional-District-6-GA
This is a poll of LVs, but the overall sample is whiter and older than the general demographics of the district itself.
FWIW:
The site that commissioned the poll is run by a GA republican political operative.
Clout Research looks to be a republican polling/political consulting firm.
