... in pages viewed on your phone with an image/word of your choice?
Would you pay for an app that added a little delay to podcasts/streamed content and substituted every occurrence of DT's name with a bleep, or sound/word of your choice?
If you think apps like this would be great, do you know any apps designers? Or know of any similar apps? (If so, perhaps we could encourage creator to come up with a purge DT app.)
I think such an app could really take off, and if it did, it would be like a massive protest. Wouldn't it be great see news stories about the growing numbers who can't stand even hearing the sound of his name? It would be unprecedented. I can see it all now! Across the Internet people coming up with "appropriate" words/noises to substitute.

(10,351 posts)That "..ump" sound makes me ill. It is an endless drumbeat. Listening to the radio, reading, conversing. It has become inescapable.
I want to escape -- to purge that sound from my awareness as far as possible.
In my own writing, thinking, speaking, it's DT. But when I read the name, hear the name, ..ump this, ump that... it's like a horrifying earworm.
Having that name on everyone's "lips" is promoting the man. I see him reveling in the unprecedented and sustained level to which he has invaded the psyche of people worldwide. (And unfortunately, even the clever rhyming words intended to denigrate are just as annoying to me.
Looks like my feelings on the subject aren't shared by many.
Oh well.
