Trump questioned who is really behind anti-Semitic threats and vandalism, official says

President Trump questioned who was behind a recent spate of anti-Semitic threats and incidents during a meeting with state attorneys general on Tuesday, one of the people present said after the gathering.
When Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro (D) asked him about the recent threats against Jewish facilities, the president responded by condemning the statements but then suggested the reverse may be true, Shapiro said.
I dont know what the president meant by that statement, Shapiro said in a statement.
Trump made this reference that sometimes its the reverse and then used that word reverse several times, Joe Grace, a spokesman for Shapiro, said in a telephone interview Tuesday afternoon. Grace was relaying what Shapiro had said publicly during a phone call with reporters earlier Tuesday.
{Trump is flirting with the idea that anti-Semitic incidents are false flags again}
Shapiros account of the meeting with Trump was first reported by Billy Penn.

(46,234 posts)I have a friend who lives on an illegal settlement in Israel and this is his response to this article:
This is ridiculous. I think someone had his hearing aid turned off or else he grossly misunderstood what was said. Trump has high regard for Jews period. You may question much of what he says or does but not on this issue. He is committed to Israel like no other president before him and he has been sourrounded (sic) by committed Jews his whole adult life.
The best that can be said that Trump likes Israeli Jews but not so much the American variety. My friend can only see that Trump will prevent him from losing his home, will protect him and his family from Palestinians and others, and if Trump supports Israel, therefore, he must collectively support Jews, period.
