meaning one in which he doesn't go off on an incoherent rant or toss a massive "word salad", lord help us if he launches a war or we suffer a major terror attack that gives people excuses to rally around him like with George W. Bush.

(24,452 posts)but it sounds like the media punditry is swoooooooning over it. But I guess that I can sort of understand how the media might consider presentation more important than substance.

(8,445 posts)He reads poorly and seems to have no emotional attachment to what he reads. He probably doesn't even remember today what he read last night.
Actually I watched part of it and then went into my office where I could still hear it. I needed a buffer between my mouth and my husband's ears so I wouldn't say something that would start a fight. The fighting gets us nowhere. I'm just trying to bide my time until it becomes glaringly clear to even stupid 45 supporters that they made a colossal mistake. Sadly, though, I think my husband has somehow become so stupid that he'll never reach that point.
