1. Turn on MSNBC: Rachel M is talking about Russian money laundering

through Deutsche Bank.

2. All her reporting on dirty money is what made me ask the question.

3. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with next.

Ha. She's tying it to the firing of Preet Bharara, who was heading up the federal investigation of Deutsche Bank's laundering of Russian money. It's all tangled up with the Russian oligarch who paid far more than the asking price for some real estate owned by Trump. And Trump owes DB hundreds of millions of dollars - and Trump has fired the US Attorney who's investigating that bank.

The plot thickens. Rachel is very good at this.

7. We knew it was something like that with Bahara. Appears to be multilpe issues there

that would be cause for T to be nervous about him.

4. NYT says unlikely:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/09/us/politics/taxes-trump-irs.html

Although the I.R.S. has nearly 80,000 employees, the agency uses strict safeguards when it comes to privacy. The number of people with access to returns is limited, and improper browsing of taxpayer files is automatically flagged.

Hard copies of presidential returns historically have been kept in a safe outside of the commissioner’s office,
tax experts say. Returns of celebrities are protected even more carefully than those of regular taxpayers.

“I would never say never, because it has happened in the past,” said Lawrence B. Gibbs, another former I.R.S. commissioner who was its chief counsel when Mr. Nixon’s tax information was made public. “But people are probably going to have to look elsewhere than the I.R.S. for the president’s tax returns if that’s what they want.”

6. Thanks. That answers my first question. But I still wonder how much they would tell us anyway

with all the dirty money laundering.

10. More likely they'd just be embarassing, such as maybe revealing he hasn't paid any taxes at all...

due to use of the extensive tax benefits available in the real estate business.

Or revealing his income isn't nearly as large as he claims.

5. We can only hope he has failed to report income that IRS discovers

and he gets charged with massive tax fraud

9. His opulent lifestyle may not be reflected in his tax return

Mark Cuban says he thinks Trump isn't nearly as rich as he claims.
