5. As someone who lives 12 miles from the border I can say

that no one around here wants the wall. The expense is huge and the damage would be great.
The wall, or fence, can be easily climbed or tunneled under. It's a dumb and
expensive idea. Trump wants to cut Coast Guard funds for this. The Coast Guard
patrols much more of our border than the one with Mexico.
