They complained about Hillary but he talks in a monotone as if reading from a book. Even when you read from a book you are instructed to change your tone when you get near a period. I remember that from grade school.

(42,641 posts)He is a shameless servant of the 1%, as was his lobbyist wife. The prototypical Washington insider family posing as the average American family from Wisconsin.

(6,262 posts)Dubbed by media as "intellectual" of Republican party (oxymoron). This former teacher pegs him as a kid who read Ayn Rand in the 8th grade and had an adolescent epiphany as to how to save the world. So he gets into a private university (Miami of Ohio), which, while having decent academic ratings, is essentially an extension of well-heeled, white suburban culture, with very few students from the real world to learn with and from.(it may be more diverse now, but he is the same age as kids who were there when he was whom I know as progeny of friends.)
Then, he wows everyone in the geezer GOP by actually being able to do a spreadsheet (all by himself!), AND Powerpoint! With a non-threatening demeanor and no obvious race-baitiing language etc., he bounds to the top of their hopefuls list. The golden boy from Janesville is having his very own moment to actually lead as opposed to being in pics with Romney -- and it isn't good.
