This was also tweeted by Scott Dworkin. I think Russians/Ukrainians have no doubt donated substantially to Republicans through US subsidiaries to make it legal.

This may be a good beginning regarding McConnell.
I notice that McConnell's wife wants to privatize our infrastructure. Selling it off to foreign actors. Basically the treatment debtor nations got when forced to sell their water systems to private interests seeking long-term income streams.
The billionaire class has been running amok.

(562 posts)Most people think Republican obstruction of investigations is for political reasons. But "follow the money" - if you have Russians/Ukrainian Oligarchs donating millions to PACS for senate or house leadership through shell companies to conceal it, that would be another reason to obstruct.
I hope the media investigates and shines a bright light on it. Then pressure can be applied to make them move on the investigation/impeachment, or removed.
I wouldn't doubt it if individual members of congress, the FBI (Comey), CIA, etc have financial ties to Russia they haven't disclosed (like Flynn). If I'm Putin, that's what I'd be doing. Maybe he can blackmail a lot more people than we think. I'll throw China in there as well. I'm speculating, but Washington is such a cesspool of corruption, I expect it.
