Some people find it harder to stick their necks out. I happen to agree with the opinion. I too think this election was stolen. Glad somebody's finally coming around to say that. But maybe he felt a case had not been made til a day like this came along. When you're on it early, you're the first to take the verbal jabs and blows. You're the first to be lambasted as shrill or hilarious. You're the first to be targeted for smears and slanders.

Then again, there are some like Chris Matthews who is loathe - utterly LOATHE to use the word "lie" or the word "liar." Hates it. Said so on his show in the first segment just a few days ago. Didn't want to stick his neck out, even though lies are spewing from trump's mouth almost at the rate of every minute on the minute. Even though it's STUPID-obvious. Even though there's such a long and unimpeachable track record, well-documented in multitudes of written words and video clips. Can't do it, he says. Just shrivels at the thought, still.

I know. It makes no sense. None to me anyway. What would you call it, if you can't call it a lie? Especially spoken by the Lord of the Lies.

Kerry was screwed in Ohio in a less obvious way, a few machines here - some purged rolls there.

Starting to look like Trump outsourced the dirty work to Putin and they added 3 states to the other 2 they had on speed dial. Have to believe the Russian hackers could reach into the voting systems without any fingerprints and calculate just how many they needed to win. As Stalin always said "It's not who votes that counts, but who counts the votes."

come up with a valid explanation/defense for having a server system that was good enough for an ex-president in a house that was physically protected by the Secret Service that had never been hacked. If we don't get out of yesterday's mindset and leap into the now - where you have to be media savvy and do everything to grasp a second of interest in the intense, overbombarded media world of today - we are doomed. Taking away meals on wheels? School lunches? And no ad drumming that in? DNC, anyone with money? inexcusable.

And, although Trump has gone light years beyond believability, there is something to be said about being confident and outraged and fighting back.

One of the main reasons Trump stole Bernie's attacks on Hillary was because they were unchallenged and worked to the Republicans favor. Sorry, but there is nothing to respect about a man attacking a woman like that knowing your target can't answer you back in kind or risk alienating his supporters. Everybody went easy on Bernie.*

Once they started down that trail regarding Clinton to then come out with something about republican45 would have been met with everything from suspicion to complete condemnation and it could have dramatically impacted the integrity of an investigation into actual criminal actions as opposed to the bullshit witch hunt against Clinton.

Plus, to be honest, the impact to republicans from this will be dramatic and far reaching. Far more impactful than if it had come to light before the election.

By revealing the investigation on republican45 before Election Day, it may have got Clinton elected but it would have done little to no damage to the Republican Party.

Republican45 getting elected has caused a lot of republicans to hitch their wagons to him and if republican45 and other senior administration officials get impeached and/or arrested, that will do long term, "death kneel" level damage to the Party brand and its most controversial and troubling party members will left out in the cold, likely forever, because of it.

How far back do you want to go? Washington? Lincoln? Genghis Khan? How about Nixon...he was a well-known crook and got elected anyway. Since then, it's been solid wingnut control of the country...with the exception of a few Demos kneecapped by vicious Republican attacks. All political systems have their drawbacks. Democracy's problem is that it requires constant attention, examination, and participation by all the people, all the time. Humans are not capable of that. We operate as we always have done...might makes right. We still want to be ruled by that silver back...whatever title you give him. The question is and always was: how do we overcome genetic programming?
