because he had to show the 'black guy' that he too could be President...by any means necessary.

He will learn very fast that this is not his personal acquisition.

It conveys the level of responsibility the office carries, and the accountability to citizens it owes.

Trump understands neither concept of respect for an institution, nor serving others.

He is a selfish, mercurial person, incapable of putting others before himself. Not unwilling, incapable. He will never "pivot", any more than a zebra will "pivot" from stripes to spots over time. He is incapable of working for others.

hanging in there. Some of our boys took their toys, like lifetime Healthcare and retirement, and went home, when the going got tough. You, Feinstein, RBG and others will not desert your troops in the heat of our biggest battle.

Her track record for success and effective vote-wrangling has SHAMED both the CONS who followed her - Boehner AND Ryan. They both made so many mistakes - blunders that Nancy would never make. She was a very effective Speaker. She was NEVER caught flat-footed on some big measure being put to a vote.

Actually there's only one time I can recall when she actually WAS caught flatfooted: immediately after 9/11 when the Capitol building was hastily evacuated, and I think because she was part of the leadership, she HAD TO be moved to safety. Secret Service or the Capitol security or some such physically hoisted her up by the armpits to hustle her outta there, and she lost both of her shoes!

On edit - a second time: she briefly stepped out of her high-heeled pumps outside the Capitol building when a crowd of Dems was jumping for joy over the failure of trumpcare so she could jump too!

But those are the only two times I know of wherein Nancy Pelosi was ever "caught flat-footed."
