are in a tug-of-war over who gets to be the real president, while Pence sneaks around in the shadows, hoping to stay under the radar long enough to slip into the position once the Trumptanic finally goes down.

Of course, Pence is in it up to his ears (he is Manafort's boy), but he hopes he has been sufficiently insulated with plausible deniability.
