Where the earth fell out of orbit and was heading closer and closer to the sun? I'm beginning to think of it as a documentary.
SPOILER------ Of course, it was the opposite situation, which doesn't sound all that bad, right now.

(26,260 posts)Right now it's 92 with about a 37% humidity. We've been in the high to mid 90's, every single day, which is far longer than I can ever remember a heat wave lasting. The relatively low humidity is very weird for Michigan. Everything is scorched because we've had no rain of any consequence, for weeks. I watch it approaching on the radar map, and it just evaporates before it reaches Flint. It's like we are under some sort of anti-moisture force field.
Perhaps I'm just getting delirious from the heat but that episode of the Twilight Zone keeps popping into my mind.

(19,736 posts)Today it was finally 90 at around noon with low humidity. I envy you. 92 and low humidity is not bad at all. Come to Oklahoma, or go further south. Then you can complain.

we just had a severe thunderstorm warning with the promise of high winds, hail and rain. It passed over in about two minutes with nary a drop of rain. Really weird. Hasn't rained in weeks!

(15,189 posts)We can't make rain clouds. Although it sounds like a crazy thing to do, but it would be something to try and attempt. Like really tall and hydraulic collapsible wind towers that creates condensation in great capacity.

(265 posts)They were really drifting AWAY from the sun. The rapidly melting world that the protagonist found herself in was only the product of a fever-induced nightmare. She was actually freezing to death!
You never know, You may wake up tomorrow encased in ice. This all just might be the product of a bad dream.
