You got what you wanted... But we all have to live with it.
I don't know about you, but I'm scared shitless!
I cannot express my anger to those who voted this idiot into office. Thanks to you, he is now the most dangerous man on the planet.
Mark my words...
Nothing will expose his inexperience and incompetence more than an international crisis. We are on the verge of having to face such a crisis. And we are going to do so without any kind of doctrine or even a hint of definitive policy. If this doesn't scare you, nothing will.
This man knows NOTHING about foreign policy. He is so thin skinned that he cannot take any sort of criticism or defeat. He is still trying to repeal and replace the ACA. We have so many other issues that are about to explode in our face. And it will happen with Donald Trump at the helm.
God help us all.

(42,862 posts)This is why it's important to support Democrats and to do things that strengthen and unite the Democratic Party. We need to send the dangerous politicians home.

(68,556 posts)I am a 'yellow dog Democrat', would vote for a yellow dog rather than a Republican. My entire family (except for my moderate GOP Dad who changed parties from GOP to DEM when Bill Clinton was attacked by the right) are yellow dog Democrats...and also broken glass Democrats...we would crawl across broken glass, in order to vote Democratic...and until people understand that the infighting is why were are where we are today ...in the minority...we can't fix this. And that is a terrible thing because it gives the GOP tacit permission to do their worst and they will happily do so.

(8,000 posts)we're crawling through broken glass to vote for every Dem in every election but we're still being called "the problem with Democrats" as I was the other day right here on DU when supporting an elected Democrat.

(68,556 posts)This is why I have very little interest in turning our party upside down in order to please those who were capable of thinking that Trump was a better choice than Hillary and voted for him (no interest in understanding their pain), those who voted for a third party candidate (or a gorilla) and those who stayed home. You can't fix stupid. The election was the perfect storm...Russians, Comey etc. We need to stop complaining about what the Democrat Party does or doesn't do...because it is the only game in town...so show party loyalty or cede the country to the Republicans...your choice.
I'm so sick of the continued "blame Hillary for not reaching out to working people" (including Joe Biden!) bullshit as SHE WON MORE VOTES just not in the "right" places. Maybe it's time to consider that a 250 year old document has flaws and needs some revision? Heresy, I know.
Regardless, it's time to put that in the past and move forward together to try to repair the vast damage being done to our country.

(19,199 posts)the Republican gerrymandered districts. What was she thinking?
When the Dems regain control of Congress again, they should cancel every gerrymandered GOP district and return them to their original boundaries. We need to hit the "reset" button on Republican cheating and dirty tricks.

Trump Co will not even consult with our government experts in these areas and will spew crap to make the situations worse. Trump had alienated China who we would need to lean on N. Korea.

(23,097 posts)Every person that voted for Drumpf enabled the destruction of all civility, all learning, all efforts to help others, our environment, working conditions, health care, all LBGT and brown people, women's ability to make decisions regarding their body and health, America's reputation. Soon to come, destruction of the US and world economy along with the entire structure of the free world so that Russia can take primacy and we will fall to our doom. And all this is planned for his personal profit and pique, he's fucking over the world for what he thinks will be his own enrichment. Thing is he's counting on Pootie, and he's way more likely to kill him than he is to enrich him. Once Pootie's gotten what he wants from Drumpf, think the Golden Shower Tapes and tapes of his conversations colluding with Russia to steal the election will be made public to fuck us over even more.

I have adult children. At least they understand death and can face things squarely. I am sorry for people who have younger children. It does not matter where in the world they live, I am sorry.
I am sorry for the planet, for all the innocent life that will be lost, plant and animal.
If my husband and I are not together at the end, we will make every effort to get home to be together. No one should die alone.
My worry/fear is for my grands. I've been allowed a darn good life. But I'm a fighter.

international crises don't scare Trumpers because they want heavy carpet bombing to kill lots of people, anyone will do.
They think it will be a easy solution to Syria, Iran, North Korea, Yemen, and anywhere else. Trumpers don't put a lot of complex thought into these things.
