McMaster boots Bannon from NSC; Haley denounces Russia at UN--the grown ups have pulled off a coup

Last edited Wed Apr 5, 2017, 01:05 PM - Edit history (1)

It's only a coup on foreign policy, but it looks like the national interest and basic competence have overridden the will of the Putin's puppet in the White House.

He had apparently wanted to get rid of Flynn flunky Cohen-Watnick before and had told him to quit his "research" into intelligence unmasking but they went ahead anyway with Nunes stunt, doing leaking themselves and escalating accusations leaking Rice's name

By the way, did you noticed McMaster had to make his move while Ivanka and Jared are out of the building? This ain't over, but at least when national security was directly on the table, the white hats won.

If Donald does something to really anger his boss, Putin, there will be heck to pay. There is video a lot worse than the Pee Pee video they have on him. Most likely involving children or young men. Donald is a sick person.

His problem is the web of dodgy financial deals with the Russian oligarchs, who are essentially mobsters. The whole Russian government is a criminal enterprise, and if one were to follow the money one would likely find the Trump businesses to be entangled in all manner of financial crimes like tax evasion, money laundering and racketeering. Tapes of kinky sex with Russian hookers are the least of his problems.

A more likely scenario is that he's been complicit in money laundering for them via real estate, and that Putin has known about it for a long time.

I agree that the ties (including huge debts) to Russian mobsters is a bigger deal in the grand scheme of things, especially since around a dozen people have now died since Trump got elected, but if they have video of Trump beating and/or raping an underage girl, it will be huge news and the lurid details will set the mainstream news and social media on fire. It might really be a true "break the internet" moment.

For Dumps ratings, and more likely to lead to impeachment than even seriously f-ed up financial shenanigans.

Esp. if there's also audio of him totally berating the person he's ... uh ... with.

One can just tell by his outward persona he would totally get off on showering someones face whilst screaming at them that they're worthless slime and filth ... whilst making them tell him he's the greatest man who's ever lived and they love what he's doing to them, his prick and hands are so huge, etc ...

He really would be gone if something like that got out. Not even his GOP toadies in Congress would be able to save him.

Just an advantageous reshuffling of job duties so that a Nazi isn't whispering into the CINC's ear when actual crises are going down. That's really not that big an improvement, but we need all the hope we can get. It's not like the Office of White Supremacy is being shut down.

His campaign was rebuilt more than once, each time after he got himself in trouble. There is a pattern to this: Trump's big mouth gets him in trouble, he fires a bunch of staff, keeps himself somewhat under control and his media friends spin for him, the ignorant masses are fooled, and before long he gets cocky and fucks up again.

I'd put all my money on Trump staying on through the full 4 years. He's too greedy to step down. And the Republicans are still too chicken of him to try an impeachment. The 2018 election is the really big moment. Even if the Dems take the House, impeachment isn't a given. Trump has a lot of time between now and then to figure out how to survive in Washington.

When he leaves in 4 years he will soon be broke. I think it depends if his Russian money has dried up which may have already happened. A broke Trump just sad probably the end of the line and better than jail time after a Pence pardon.
