Twitter vs. tinfoil hat

Random thought.

Twitter was started in 2006.

Went public in 2012, has been through several CEOs. As of last year, it still hasn't been profitable. Stock price down almost 70% since its IPO. (Haven't gone back to look at the backgrounds of its VC investors.)

Der Drumpfenfuhrer has been using it assiduously (some would argue criminally) for many years. I can't help but wonder where Twitter would be now without the man-child's presence.

We know the Russians play the long game, and we know now that millions of Twitter users aren't human or are inactive.

So - tinfoil hat time - to what degree has RW billionaire/Russian support of Twitter supported long-term Russian efforts to manipulate the social media platform and, through it, other platforms as well?
