Rep. Adam Kinzinger said President Trump should approve airstrikes against Syrian President Bashar Assads government and create a no-fly zone over the war-torn nation to provide cover for ground troops from Middle Eastern countries.
I heard him say to expect cruise missile strikes targeting Syrian runways, their anti-aircraft weapons and control facilities within the next 10 days or less.

(7,768 posts)When he was asked if our missiles were to kill Russian troops, wouldn't that escalate to a war with Russia?
Kinzinger said let the word get out that this is coming and that personnel (Russian or otherwise) should vacate the areas that will be targeted.

(29,199 posts)as for the no-fly, will we shoot down Russias fighters and bombers operating over Syria?
Have we any congressional authority to involve even the 500 to 1000 or more troops that we have recently engaged in Syria?
