We have to remain vigilant, because the election chaos was only Phase 1 ... ain't gonna stop. IC community can be important in helping public track common Russian "in plain sight" tactics ...

(40,416 posts)It is very great cinema, one of my all time favorites.
Scofield is riveting in the role of Thomas More.
Plus, there's Orson Wells as Wolsey, Robert Shaw as King Henry VIII, Vanessa Redgrave as Anne Boleyn (in a minor role), and the incredible Wendy Hiller as More's spouse.
It is an extraordinary film.
Your response alone is worth an R&K for the thread.

(81,220 posts)than the entire GOP delegation can even hope to have in their entire bodies. I trust whatever he says.
And it's a reasonable expectation, too. Now that the Russians have worked THIS hard to accomplish such a monstrous goal, they're gonna want to keep it in place for awhile. A LOOOOONNNNNNNG while. They're going to want to get their money's worth.

(16,887 posts)I believe that there has already been a campaign of donations of FSB/Kremlin Kash that went to targeted GOP members....and they were able to do it (thank you Citizens United) and the GOP members either have known and don't care or choose to not know or care....
Paying off GOP members of our Government and trolls and cyber warfare has been the far cheaper way to wage war and destroy our Nation...even $1Million to every member of congress and staffer to Trump - would be a bargain and nothing in terms of money to Putin and his Oligarchs.

(51,550 posts)He is no doubt already doing it. What else could explain this fuckwit, Republican Rep. Thomas Massie, running cover for Assad and Putin by claiming the Syria gas attack was an "accident" caused by the bombing of a munitions depot? http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/05/politics/thomas-massie-syria-attack-not-assad/

(14,173 posts)Some may think the Russians stopped trolling FB and YouTube and comment sections and on MSM newspaper sites after Trump won.
I believe that they are all still employed and pretending to be English speaking Americans. I know there are a lot of American Trump trolls but there can't be as many as I see on some sites. For example, some story on Trump ties to Russia on the Washington Post, for instance, is then followed by 95% pro-Trump posts and bashing the article, many times with odd grammar.
You see the same with YouTube, Twitter etc.
