Add in religion, and they almost reach critical mass.

And please, these are not "ignorant" people.

They are simply fucking STUPID.

Bachmann: Halal Food Options A Sign Of Sharia Law

Last week on “Understanding the Times with Jan Markell,” ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) warned that “the United States is embracing more and more of Islamic Sharia law,” claiming that “Islamic organizations” like the Council on American-Islamic Relations “are wildly successful in advancing the implementation of Islamic law through public schools, through public accommodations, community centers, community colleges, etc.”

“For instance, here in Minnesota, public schools serve ‘halal’ food, Islamic Sharia-compliant food in our local cafeterias and public schools,” she continued. “I mean, can you imagine if Baptist kids came in and said, ‘We want accommodation’ or Catholic kids said, ‘We want accommodation.’ Are you kidding? They’d be drummed out of the schools and called bigots and racists.”

Rep. Jody Hice Tells Conservative Christian Pastors That ‘This Is Our Country, It’s Our Turf’

Republican Rep. Jody Hice of Georgia spoke yesterday at a “Congressional Pastors Briefing” in Washington, D.C., organized by Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton, where he told the gathering of conservative Christian pastors that “this is our country.”

After celebrating Republican plans to repeal the Johnson Amendment, which prohibits tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, including houses of worship, from explicitly endorsing or opposing candidates for elected office, Hice told the pastors that God has given this country to Christians.

“If there is anything I want to leave you [with] today, it is a genuine, heartfelt thank you for just the deep awareness that we are in this thing together,” Hice said. “This is our country, it’s our turf and God has placed us here to be stewards at such a time as this and to stand in the gap.”

Uh, my public school system always had Good Friday and Easter Monday off. And Christmas.

And then they will be bitching about the dems doing what they just did. Saying it is unfair, and it just isn't how things are done.
