Imagine if we killed hundreds of them. The USSR/Russia has been our adversary for much of the last seventy years and we have managed to militarily engage them through proxies without directly killing any of their soldiers.
The fallout from massive Russian casualties is incalculable.

(19,060 posts)So Hundreds of Russian soldiers were at the site that the chemical weapons assault originated from? Who launched the chemical weapons again? The Syrians or the Russians?
DemocratSinceBirth
(99,710 posts)The Syrians launched the attacks but the Russians are interspersed among them and the Russians have/had personnel on the base we hit.
I don't want to kill any Russians and we couldn't know for sure if any were at the bombed air base.
