7. Sadly, it seems far too many are missing the real and somewhat terrifying point

that a President of the United States just conducted a sizable military strike WITHOUT any Congressional authorization. This was not a strike against ISIS, with some at least remotely plausible legal justification arising from the existing AUMF pertaining to Al Queda.

This was an overt act of war, conducted against a sovereign nation that has both a standing army of its own and powerful allies.

And it was not approved, or even debated by Congress.
