Investigative reporting Pulitzer to West Virginia reporter

For a distinguished example of investigative reporting, using any available journalistic tool, Fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000).

Eric Eyre of Charleston Gazette-Mail, Charleston, WV

For courageous reporting, performed in the face of powerful opposition, to expose the flood of opioids flowing into depressed West Virginia counties with the highest overdose death rates in the country.

I couldn't be prouder. I've contacted him several times on issues within the state. He always covers them well.

Bravo, Eric!

Investigative reporting - something that may save us from the current administration - if we have media heads with the courage to support it.
Regarding West Virginia, the future of the EPA and its relation to W.VA is certainly a worthwhile angle to pursue - again, if they're not already bought out by the corporate 1%!

Go get 'em, Eric & Charleston Gazette-Mail (and you, too, Staph!)!
