The strike was meant to change the narrative from his scandal. Invoking ivsnka as the reason for the con attacking is meant to show a fictcious side of the con. Don't believe it.

The Russians were warned of the impending attack. Their surface to air defenses could have defended the airstrip. They did not respond implying tacit approval.

At worst, this silly and ineffectual expenditure of good ordinance can be interpreted as political showmanship and he approval of Putin as MORE demonstrative of the fact that Little Donny is Putins Bumboy and a defacto Russian spy.
