3. This sounds like both Bentley and his ex-wife are technologically-challenged.

They apparently don't seem to understand things like synchronizing electronic devices and sharing cell phone plans. I'm guessing the ex-Mrs. Bentley also wanted a lot more evidence with which to pummel her ex during the divorce proceedings.

competent admin help, so he didn't really have to understand what he was doing. Also, he hadn't the curiosity to want to know how things worked. All this knowledge was somebody else's job, somebody on a lower pay scale. His state now has a chance to replace him with somebody who has a clue.
