Kansas Election - We are witnessing an uprising from the left

Folks...I'm a stats guy. Been in research and stats much of my adult life. Part of my interest in politics is simply from the side of it regarding stats, polling, etc.

What we saw happen yesterday in Kansas between Estes and Thompson is amazing. Just last November the US Rep Pompeo won his district by 30% points. Trump won the district by 27% points.

Just 5 months later the Republican only won by 6% points. That is EXTREMELY statistically significant. Why? There are a number of US House races won by Republicans that were much smaller than 30%. I know just CA and FL there were about 10 districts that would be very competitive where the Rs won with much slimmer margins. The Trump effect and lack of governing by the right could very well help Dems gain MAJOR seats in 2018.

WE need to roll up our sleaves and work our butts off. #RESIST

That's how you really analyze who showed up to vote and who didn't. It gives you insight into the the attitudes of voters and allows you to segment out which ones only show up for off-year elections, special elections, and presidential elections.

Kansas is bankrupt. Their SC ruled the school budget cuts unconstitutional so the Legislature declared "war" on the Judicial branch. Their governor, the architect of the bankruptcy and elected twice, vetoed Medicaid expansion twice. Their party leader and Precedent are under FBI investigation. And they still voted for the GOPee-er in this district.

The amazing part is the complaining that the DNC/state party didn't do anything to help. Given that these fools elected another GOPee-er in spite of all the crap that's killing their state now, why in the hell do people think any amount of money would have changed of their minds?

What's the matter with Kansas? I don't know but I'm throwing my money in that hole.

The bad politics of Trump will only help us as he becomes more unbearable and harder to defend.
