A Trump military response to a NK nuke test would be inevitable

Cheeto has invested in a lot of Big Talk and D**k Wagging directed at L'il Kim.

If NK pops a nuke and Cheeto did not respond - it would be a political disaster for Trump.

He would be seen as "weak" and lose all credibility.

He will strike.

he is simply not "a man of his word".

it would be totally within his character to stomp off, declare victory somehow (it was a bad test! such a small missile! sad!), and either come back with bigger threats or simply start talking about something else entirely.

on the other hand, yeah, he's also reckless enough to strike and let seoul be destroyed....

I am going to hit first before the US has any chance to damage my military.
If Trump hits them with anything short of a nuke I think they will have to go that
route themselves to retaliate.

Trump gets a taste for pulling the trigger

"What I do is authorize my military," Trump said at the White House, before comparing the proactive use of force by his own White House with the way the military was handled under Obama.

"Frankly, that is why they have been so successful lately, if you look at what has happened over the last eight weeks and compare that really to what has happened over the last eight years, you will see there has been a tremendous difference," he said.

Sources told CNN that Gen. John Nicholson, commander of US forces in Afghanistan, actually signed off on the use of the bomb and that the White House was informed before the bomb was rolled out of a MC-130 aircraft high over Afghanistan.

Osama bin Laden and Muammar Gadhafi dead "over the last eight years"?

This Liar-in-Chief IS "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

He and Xi are colluding on NK. I suspect a Chinese invasion will happen right after the nuke test. It will take Pyongyang completely by surprise.

narcissism in play in that conflict. That's a very dangerous situation, I think. I don't know which of the two men I find more frightening. Kim Jong Un is certifiable and has zero concern about anything but his pride. Trump isn't quite as nuts, but he has bigger toys he can throw.
