Some laughter: David Sedaris and the Meaning of Easter

I have to play this every year, and every year I laugh. Maybe this year even more, because it's all based on massive misunderstandings among people who can only have a conversation in a language none of them knows very well. But what makes me laugh the most is how we can accept all manner of things just because we're accustomed to them, while being shocked at what others believe.

His delivery is so dry and weirdly innocent. People were literally (and I mean that literally) pounding on one another and jumping up and down. It was GLORIOUS!

I had a friend that told me her husband had been assigned to write about why he wanted to come to America for his English class. She said in his paper he had written that for many years he had dreamed of coming to America and owning his own condom. He had read his paper before his class and his teacher began to giggle and said " I think you meant condominium ."
