Our biggest challenge in November 2012: Advice to advertiser spenders

Getting 18-28 year olds out to vote, getting Latino voters out to vote, getting non-white American citizens out to vote.

That sums it up.

No need to spend a half a billion dollars on TV ads. Spend 1/5th of that, in key viewing times, on key stations, in key swing areas.

Don't spend money in Massachusetts or California, or Oregon, or New York City.

Those voters show up, and vote Obama, vote mostly a Democratic ticket.

Spend the money in Ohio, Michigan, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, don't spend it in Massachusetts or New York, or California, where each local ad costs 3-5 times as much. Stop wasting money on those places, we have those, spend it getting people out to vote in swing states.

Spend the rest of the money from September 1 onward getting all the 18-28 year olds, all the Latino voters, all the non-white voters out to the polls with proper ID's in all the states.

White independent voters who watch TV for the evening news or for the major debates, they decide on those presentations, don't spend money to try to convince them to vote. Don't spend a dime on Fox News viewers getting them out to vote for Obama or a Democrat, totally wasted money.

Get over 10 million people who benefit from lower interest on their student loans, who get to marry their same sex partner, who get to be in the military with freedom to be gay, who get to go to grad school on federal loans, who get to have a chance to make a career in the next few years, who don't have to look over their shoulder, who don't have to worry about health care, who don't have a problem with taking care of their grand-parents or their cousins with disabilities.

Get THOSE people out to vote in November, that's the way we win this. Don't waste money on TV ads. Let the rich spend hundreds of millions on ads on Fox and other channels to get Romney elected, let them waste their fortunes.

Our job is to get the thinking, educated, culturally or racially disenfranchised, the other people Republicans never will represent, our job is to use our campaign monies out to get these people to the polls, particularly in all of the swing states, wherever they are.
