The letter after a politicians name counts, except for many progressives

This is just another example of progressive counter-factualism. They see no problem arguing that the wwc consistently vote against their interests (by voting for republicans) AND the issues are paramount.

The fact is, for the vast majority of the electorate, the letter following a politician's name matters WAY more than "the issues" or the politicians' proposed politics.

This is evident by just looking at this most recent election, and not just on the national level.

Poll the electorate and the Democratic platform has deep support, in both red and blue regions ... Likewise, poll the electorate on Democratic/liberal/progressive policy positions, and damn near everyone says, "Yeah. I want that!!!" ... yet, the candidates that ran on these issues/policy positions/platform, lost, with the majority of them losing by larger margins than HRC.

Really ... the only segment of the electorate for whom the letter after the politicians' name DOESN'T count with are progressives ... who will vote against the letter "D", in favor of a "G", or an "I", or even an "R", if the "D" isn't pure enough.

That's why we "D"s keep losing elections.

Is saying we are no better than Republicans an issue? If someone doesn't have anything constructive to say, then why say it?
