Stupid or nefarious?

Rachel asked if Trump et al are stupid or nefarious. She gave several instances of their erroneous statements, one of which was recently telling us an airline carrier was making its way to North Korea. She said she wishes there was a third option to explain all their mistakes, as having an administration that's either stupid or nefarious doesn't bode well for our country.

He is dangerously mentally ill.

Not all mentally ill people are dangerous. Few of them are dangerous to others. Some are dangerous to themselves only.

Some seek help. Some learn to live with their conditions, and some overcome them.

If trump has narcissistic personality disorder, as many have suggested, he will not admit he is ill and he is not going to seek treatment. With that disorder, it goes with the territory.

He clearly suffers from more than one personality disorder.

I've seen it expressed by someone on FB as: "It's hard to tell where he is on the stupid/evil spectrum." An old friend of mine used to say, "The devil always overplays his hand." In other words, evil is fundamentally stupid. The destructive impulse always ends up being self-destructive. Evil = stupid.
