Sessions: I'm "amazed" judge "sitting on an island in the Pacific" can stop Trump's travel order http://hill.cm/BnllYTB

Brian Schatz @brianschatz (U.S Senator Hawaii)
Mr. Attorney General: You voted for that judge. And that island is called Oahu. It's my home. Have some respect.
Senator Mazie Hirono @maziehirono
Hey Jeff Sessions, this #IslandinthePacific has been the 50th state for going on 58 years. And we wont succumb to your dog whistle politics

(55,894 posts)Melania was shown reading to kids... heavy accent, no attempt to make the story engaging and she didn't show the pictures.

(24,324 posts)a "heavy accent" certainly is NOT one of them !!!!!!!!
I don't know. In my opinion, that is a really sad thing to see here.
KittyWampus
(55,894 posts)the story engaging or show the pictures. Which was my point. Comparing her to how Sessions did it.
If my point was about the accent... I would have pointed out Session's too.
It's amazing how some DU'ers can totally miss a point.
pangaia
(24,324 posts)But I still think her accent has nothing to do with anything.
She speaks at least two languages. I think maybe more, not sure.
More than most Americans can claim.

(54,370 posts)I'm amazed that a sleazy, racist hack of an Attorney General with a cloud of suspicion and doubt over his integrity hasn't resigned and gone to hide on some "island in the Pacific." It must REALLY grate on Sessions to say the word "Hawai'i" out loud.
But then, it probably drives Sessions crazy that a place with splendid natural beauty and peaceful tranquility, a place that is the choice of hundreds of times as many visitors from around the world as Alabama, is part of the United States at all.

Yes, this eejit missed the fact that an attack on our navy at Hawaii got us into a world war. He missed it when we made the islands our 50th state. And he's missed everything since then, believing Obama was an illegitimate president because he was born on a Pacific island outside the United States.
He is clearly unqualified to be anything but a deep south town character.
