I am disabled and have a free lifetime pass. You might still be able to do that despite age but I would check fast before it changes.

At the Cape Cod national seashore you park free if anyone in the car has one. It only takes one use (or fewer) to get $10 in savings.
This article from 12/2016 tells what the money will be used for. http://travel.aarp.org/articles-tips/articles/info-2016/national-parks-lifetime-pass-cost-increase.html

I recently moved to Colorado and had no idea a Senior Park Pass even existed. I just ordered one online for $20 and am so happy to be able to explore all the beautiful parks in Colorado for free! So awesome - thanks again!
