Tens of thousands are expected to march and rally outside the Turkish Consulate on Wilshire Boulevard on Monday to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the Armenian genocide.
The 1.5-mile march which drew an estimated 60,000 people last year is scheduled to begin at noon at Pan Pacific Park at 7600 Beverly Blvd. and end outside the Turkish Consulate at 6300 Wilshire Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
There must to 100+ police cars around our building. Happy to say they are not in riot gear. Not sure if I should try to get out of the office before the marchers get here.

Update 2:20 PM
The march participants just arrived. They were scheduled to be here around 1:30, I thought. Lots of people in the march. They filled Wilshire from Fairfax to Crescent Heights. Not as many as last year (about 60K) but probably close to 20 - 25k). Still haven't made it down to see Schiff. Probably going to try and get out of here before they break it up. LA traffic is bad enough without getting caught up in march traffic.
