Asking for some help about one of Ivanka's books

The other day on one of the news shows (I think it was a newscast can't remember for sure.) they showed a excerpt from one of ivanka's books with her saying it was okay to lie. And making a pretty long justification of why it's okay.

"Perception is more important than reality. If someone perceives something to be true, it is more important than if it is in fact true. This doesn't mean you should be duplicitous or deceitful, but don't go out of your way to correct a false assumption if it plays to your advantage."

and determined this is why we are not rich.

Neither of us can stand there and let a false assumption continue, even if it makes us look good.

Clearly, we're doing it wrong. I wonder sometimes if teaching our kids to be honest will handicap them in today's world.

but you and I are working off a different playbook - these people are con men and to them the end justifies the means every time.
It is sad to think we may be at a point where teaching honesty isn't a good thing.

You, your husband, me, my husband, and most of us do honest work for honest (admittedly could be more honest) pay. We aren't thieves! Too often using the word grifters soften us the fact that we are talking about thieves.

As long as it's to your advantage. This is why the world sucks.

Family values showing. Reminds me of those late nite coin sales shows. What show high prices for "x" grade coin. But that is if it is graded by pcgs or ngc. They are selling ones from another company. And that is the price someone wants for it. Not the actual price they go for. (Look at ebay asking prices then look at actual completed sales price. A lot of people ask for a lot but have to actually sell them a lot lower.)

Couldn't remember who had that. It seems with this prez. the satirist can make a better case of what is wrong with this prez. then the news can. They bring things in to context.

It was at 9 minutes in to his video.

But worth watching the whole clip
